Over the past two years, we took the opportunity to undertake extensive, but necessary, improvements and renovations to our facilities. When you arrive at Spruce Meadows in the summer, you will find new entrances and much-improved access/egress to the venue–and although the ring road construction was difficult, we are excited for you to experience the new and improved road system to enter the facility.  

We are now undertaking a beautification project focused on the International Ring. These upgrades will begin in 2022 with a scheduled completion to be unveiled in 2025 for our 50th Anniversary. The intent of the improvements will be to showcase Spruce Meadows as a leader in the Sport and Entertainment space with our strategic priorities and goals focusing on Environmental and Social Sustainability. Spruce Meadows has added EV charging stations, solar panels, retail, and some additional surprises–the improvements promise to offer our fans a more environmentally friendly, multifaceted shopping and viewing experience. 

The first phase of the multi-year plan–which will get underway immediately–is to upgrade the west grandstand to incorporate premium seating with tables and food service for the public to purchase. It is anticipated that the sale of these seats will be announced in August, in time for the 'Masters' Tournament. 

As with many things, Spruce Meadows is evolving, and through our governing and regulating bodies there will now be a requirement for each person on the grounds to have a ticket in their possession prior to arriving at the facility. Additionally, because of the improvements being made to the International Ring, Spruce Meadows will only be offering our fans festival (general admission) seating in the summer of 2022.
