Great Events Catering turns 40 and continues to serve Calgary and area

Since 1982, Great Events Catering has been the premier catering service provider for the Calgary and surrounding area. With a reputation built on quality, professionalism and service, award-winning, Corporate Executive Chef, Daryl Kerr, and his team works collaboratively with each client to ensure the event is curated to the client’s vision. The team specializes in providing excellent food and beverage services for corporate gatherings, special events and weddings. 


Great Events Catering is the heart of the Great Events Group, one of Alberta’s top food and beverage holding companies. The group was founded by the Kuenz family who still owns and operates the business today. The Great Events Group houses nine unique brands offering three categories of services: catering, dining experiences and special events. 


Under the catering portfolio are the brands Great Events Catering, Office Gourmet and Rare Cut. Great Events Catering offers full-service catering for special events, including weddings, corporate events and large-scale festivities, while Rare Cut specializes in BBQ meats and Stampede activities. Office Gourmet provides a healthy, gourmet option for the office environment. 


For dining experiences, the group includes the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, Cravings Market Restaurant/Cravings Bistro, Foodies in the Park and Annie’s Café. These brands offer a good mix of experiences, from casual eating to fine-dining and luxe dome-dining. 


Within the special events offerings, the Meadow Muse Pavilion is offered as a popular location to host a dream wedding in the natural beauty of Fish Creek Provincial Park. The Bow Valley Ranche historical building is also available for private functions.
